FRANK CAIRO

HOST & JOURNALIST

Born and raised in Miami, Florida, Frank Cairo graduated with a degree in psychology from the University of Santo Tomás.  His television career began in 1982 with Juventud Miami.  His bold interviews with important stars such as Celia Cruz and Johnny Ventura helped him make a name for himself as a reporter and get his career going at a very young age.

Shortly afterwards he became host of Estrenos y Estrellas on the Telemundo television network and in 1989 he joined the production staff at Univision, helping launch the successful El Show de Cristina, becoming a star producer, and earning his first Emmy award.

In 1992 he returned to Telemundo producing El Show de María Laria, which earned him another two Emmy awards.

Among other projects, he has been executive producer for Primer Impacto, for which he nabbed an exclusive interview with Ernestina Sodi, sister to singer Thalía.  In 2006, he joined Mega TV as an executive producer, creator, and host of Paparazzi, which earned him another Emmy.

In 2010 he joined Azteca America with a series of exclusive interviews.
